Over 52,000 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims reach Saudi Arabia

A total of 52,334 Bangladeshi pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year as of 2:59am on Tuesday, according to the latest Hajj bulletin.

The pilgrims travelled on 134 flights operated under both government and private management arrangements.

According to the Hajj help desk, 25,073 pilgrims travelled on 63 flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, while 18,402 pilgrims arrived on 49 flights operated by Saudi Airlines. Another 8,889 pilgrims travelled on 22 flights operated by Flynas.

Among the total pilgrims, 4,071 travelled under the government management scheme, while 48,263 travelled through private arrangements.

This year, Bangladesh has been allotted a total Hajj quota of 78,500 pilgrims. A total of 660 agencies are involved in managing Hajj operations, including 30 lead agencies and 630 coordinating agencies.
