Jagannath University Chandpur District Student Welfare Association has announced its new convening committee. Nur-e-Alam Siddique has been appointed as the convener, while Farhad Hossain will serve as the member secretary. Additionally, Omar Faruk Khan has been named senior joint convener of the 25-member committee, which has been approved for the next three months.
The announcement was made on Sunday, December 1, with the unanimous decision of the advisory council. Dr. Muhammad Lokman Hossain, Professor of Chemistry, and Dr. Md. Nurullah, Professor of Islamic Studies at JnU, made the official declaration.
Present at the event were student advisors Mahbub Sajjad, Zahir Raihan, Bulbul Ismail, and other students from Chandpur district studying at JnU.
Convener Nur-e-Alam Siddique said, “I am committed to fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to me. We plan to take on projects that address students’ needs and contribute to their welfare. With the support of both current and former members, we aim to move the Chandpur District Student Welfare Committee of JnU forward and deliver meaningful contributions for everyone.”
Member Secretary Farhad Hossain expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am thankful to the advisory council and all members for placing their trust in me. I seek everyone’s cooperation to execute my responsibilities effectively. My goal is to work beyond traditional approaches and prioritize the welfare of students. With collective efforts from both current and former members, I will strive to present a well-organized and impactful organization to all.”
