JnU led by Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Sadeka Halim paid tribute to war heroes on victory day

Jagannath University Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Sadeka Halim said that Victory Day reminds us of some cherished goals. Those goals are to make Bangladesh a democratic country, ensure gender equality, create a just and egalitarian society, and build a non-communal Bangladesh.

She said that while paying tribute at the National Memorial on the occasion of Victory Day.

“We hope that teachers, students, officials, and employees will embrace the spirit of victory and move forward.”, she added.

The JnU Vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Sadeka Halim placed a floral wreath at the National Memorial on behalf of the JnU on Saturday morning.

Later on Jagannath University Teachers Association, Employees association and Jagannath University Journalists Association and other JnU based organizations placed floral wreaths at the National Memorial.

Among others, the University’s Treasurer, Professor Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, Deans of various faculties, Directors of institutes, Registrar Engineer Md. Wahiduzzaman, Department Chairmen, Proctor Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Provost of Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, Professor Dr. Deepika Rani Sarkar, and the students, teachers, staff and journalists were present at the event.
