Professor Humayun Kabir Chowdhury of Marketing department of Jagannath University has been appointed as the new treasurer of the university for the next four years.
The Education Ministry today issued a circular in this regard.
In the circular, according to Section 12 (1) of the Jagannath University Act 2005, Prof Dr Professor Humayun Kabir Chowdhury has been appointed as treasurer of Jagannath University, his term of appointment as treasurer will be four years and he will serve in accordance with Sections 1, 5, 6, and 9 of the Jagannath University Act.
Professor Dr. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury is currently the Chairman of the Department of Marketing, Jagannath University. Concurrently, he is holding the position of Director, Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation, and Director, ICB Capital Management.
Earlier, he was the Pro-Vice Chancellor, South East University from 2013 to 2017. Professor Chowdhury started his career as Lecturer, Department of Marketing, Rajshahi University.
