Actress and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director Jyotika Jyoti has been admitted to a hospital in capital Dhaka after she fell sick.
She was admitted to Universal Medical College Hospital Ltd, Ovinoy Shilpi Sangha President Ahsan Habib Nasim told Jago News on Sunday.
Doctors said she has various complications, including inflammation in the body, electrolyte imbalance, kidney infection, and uncontrolled diabetes.
Currently, she is under the supervision of endocrinologist (diabetes and hormone specialist) and medicine specialist.

The actress also herself informed about her hospitalization in a Facebook post today.
In the post, she wrote, “I am hospitalized and unable to talk. Journalists and many people in my area are trying to reach me over the phone to talk about the election and nomination. I will communicate after recovery.”
Jyotika Jyoti acted in different popular films, including Ayna, Nondito Noroke, Anil Bagchir Ekdin, Laal Moroger Jhuti, and various television dramas.
