Simeen Rimi made new state minister of Ministry of Women and Children Affairs

Simeen Hussain Rimi, incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Gazipur-4 constituency, has been appointed as new state minister of Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

A new cabinet, including Simeen Hussain Rimi, was sworn in on Thursday, with ministries distributed to its members. Among the 37 members this time, there are several changes in the roles of ministers and state ministers. 

Rimi was born in 1961 to Tajuddin Ahmad, the inaugural Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and Syed Zohra, another politician. Rimi has two sisters, Mahjabin Ahmad Mimi and Sharmin Ahmad Reepi, and a brother, Sohel Taj. She married Mushtaq Hussain.
