Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Jubo Dal organized a mass campaign to help make the party’s non-cooperation movement successful and call on the public to boycott the election.

They, led by Jatiotabadi Jubo Dal central committee Joint-Secretary Ziaur Rahman Zia, distribute leaflets in the capital’s Paltan, Gazi Building and Polwel market and adjacent areas on Monday.

At that time Jubodol Chittagong Divisional Assistant General Secretary, Manzurul Azim Sumon, Assistant Information and Technology Secretary  KMS Musabbir Shafi, member Habibur Rahman Habib, former JCD Assistant Organizing secretary Saidur Rahman Royel and Jubodol leader Farukh Hossen Patwary and Azad Bhuiyan among other leaders and activists, were present.

Jatiotabadi Jubo Dal Joint-Secretary Ziaur Rahman Zia said: “The people of Bangladesh rejected the one-sided dummy election. The people of Bangladesh are united. No one will go to the polling centres. People have the right to not go to the polling centres.

Terming this arrangement of election as a ‘vote drama’, Ziaur Rahman Zia said people will not allow the government to implement this polls schedule.

Since October 29, the BNP and its allies have enforced nationwide hartals for five days in four spells and blockades for 23 days in 12 phases. On December 20, the parties announced a non-cooperation movement to press home their demand for a neutral polls-time government.
